Thank you to all the offices who donated a basket, item, craft work, etc. to this year's PAF Auction. Your creativity is greatly appreciated. Congratulations to everyone that helped us reach our RPAC Goal for 2017!

Political Advocacy Fund (PAF) - An Investment in Your Future

From Washington, DC, to your City Hall and county courthouse, elected officials are making decisions that impact our industry and your profitability. Would your business be affected if:

  • Congress eliminates the Mortgage Interest Deduction?
  • Federal regulators mandate a 20 percent down payment to be eligible for a Qualified Residential Mortgage?
  • City and county governments held you personally responsible for code violations on your listings?
  • You – as an affiliated broker or agent – had to pay hundreds of dollars per year for a local business license?

The Political Advocacy Fund (PAF) is fighting to protect your livelihood on each of these issues and more. Your investment in PAF is used to support candidates for federal, state, and local office who share our position on important real estate issues.

PAF contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes. Contributions to PAF are voluntary and are used for political purposes. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal and the National Association of REALTORS®, the Georgia Association of REALTORS® or the Pickens County Board of REALTORS® will not favor or disfavor any member because of the amount contributed. 70% of each contribution is used by GARPAC to support state and local candidates. Until GARPAC reaches its RPAC goal, 30% is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 2 U.S.C. 441a; after GARPAC reaches its RPAC goal, it may elect to retain your entire contribution for use in supporting state and local candidates.
